Giving at First Baptist Church

At First Baptist Church of Ahoskie, we take giving very seriously. As with other spiritual disciplines like worship, study, prayer, and service, we are called to give of our time and money to the Lord. It is a regular part of our worship and brings meaning and depth to our spiritual lives.

Our church operates on an Annual Budget, prepared by the Finance Committee and approved by the members of our church. Your church leadership makes every effort to use your gifts wisely. If you have any questions about this, or would like to see financial statements, please contact Janice Cesil, our financial secretary.

If you would like to begin giving to First Baptist Church, we offer various options to do so:

Cash or Check

For your convenience, the church offers envelopes for your tithes and offerings. If you do not  receive envelopes, and would like to, please contact Janice Cesil. We also keep some stocked in the pew racks in our sanctuary. You may place cash or checks (payable to First Baptist Church) in one of these envelopes and place it in the offering plate during a service. You may also mail it to First Baptist Church, PO Box 649, Ahoskie, NC 27910. Please indicate if the funds are for a specific purpose. Otherwise, we will apply the donation to our General Budget.

Worship With Us

Our worship (Sundays at 11am) is shaped by the liturgical calendar year and is traditional in nature. We enjoy creative and integrated worship experiences through the use of hymns, responsive readings and prayers, scripture readings from the Revised Common Lectionary, musical meditations by our various choirs and instrumentalists, testimonies of faith, and preaching from God's word.
